“The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday’s logic”. – Peter Drucker
Organisations are on a continuous trajectory of growth and evolution to better serve society through its product and service offerings.
We at KNOWLEDGE CONTINIUUM understand that this trajectory, triggered by influential forces in the organisation’s sphere, may bring about high emotions within the people in these organisations. Emotions such as uncertainty and fear about their roles, their abilities, their job safety. These high emotions may become negative actions that can stop an organisation’s trajectory in its tracks. When people resist change, new processes, systems, roles, organisational structures and metrics are not adopted. Expenses are not reduced, efficiencies are not gained, revenue is not increased, market share is not captured, regulations are not met and ultimately the organisation cannot better serve society as it aspired to.
KNOWLEDGE CONTINIUUM works closely with organisations to deliver change management insights where success has already been proven, from day one. These insights of other successful implementations are used as key inputs as we develop and deliver tailored strategies to communicate the benefits of change, manage resistance, anticipate risks and build the capability to respond to our client’s unique challenges.
We bring a holistic approach to the table, ensuring that change management is not only effective but also sustainable and adaptable to the evolving needs of the organisation.
We identify modifications within an organisation to improve its performance and align these modifications with the organisation’s strategic objectives. Modifications may be introduced for organisations to adapt to market shifts, technological advancements and internal growth demands.
Our change management strategy outlines how to implement changes within an organisation in a structured and efficient manner. It involves methods and procedures to manage the people side of change to achieve the required business outcomes.
We outline the approach, elements, activities, and timeline for implementing the change and achieving the Change Management Strategy
Stakeholder Identification
We determine who a project’s stakeholders are by considering influence on and interest in the project’s success.
Business Engagement
This is a strategic process of involving individuals or groups that are likely to be affected by or have an impact on the decisions, actions, or outcomes of a project.
Leadership Alignment
Particular focus is placed on collaborating with organisational leaders to support and champion the change initiative.
Stakeholder Engagement and Management
This is the overall process of organising, monitoring, and improving interactions with stakeholders impacted by the change.
Readiness Assessments
Change readiness assesses the organisation’s resources and the people from multiple viewpoints to determine the root causes of resistance. The goal is to identify how far or close the organisation is to the desired future state, then initiate actions to fill in the gaps and grow confidence.
Change Impacts
This is a critical activity where the potential impact of the change is evaluated against various aspects of the organisation. Interventions are then put in place to manage impacts identified, to support project success and change adoption within the organisation.
Change Agent Network
We work closely with leadership and Human Resources to establish a network of individuals who can champion the change and support its implementation throughout the organisation.
Communication
We design a communication plan that ensures the right messages are communicated at the right time to the right audience, in the right format. A feedback mechanism is incorporated into the plan to ensure we maintain a finger on the pulse of the organisation’s concerns
Training
We understand the value of training in increasing employee buy-in and decreasing resistance to new policies or procedures and provide blending learning solution to employees to help them adapt to the change.
Monitoring and Tracking
Change Measurement: We track the progress of the change initiative using key performance indicators and other metrics.
Business Readiness: We evaluate the organisation’s preparedness to embrace the change and identify any areas that require additional support or attention.
Reinforcing the Change
Without reinforcing the change after it has happened, the organisation runs the risk of an investment being wasted and the expected results from the change not fully being realised. It is a natural tendency to revert back to what we know.
KNOWLEDGE CONTINUUM works closely with our client’s Change Management counterpart to establish a “reinforcement protocol” that can be put into action after project conclusion, with a focus on celebrating wins, having team feedback loops and measuring performance against updated key performance indicators (KPIs).
